PCR was performed on the miniprep samples of Pcdna3.1 TRIM 22 and 31. The PCR was performed using the Q5 mastermix protocol and done in 50 µl reactions. The gel showed extremely large bands which were not the sizes expected for TRIMs 22 and 31. This occurred because the concentration of the plasmid was too high. PCR will need to be performed for these samples with lower concentrations by utilizing serial dilutions next time.
